THE 12 TYPICAL AROMAS OF GRAPE VARIETIES : CHARDONNAY DU MONDE

his year marks the tenth anniversary of Chardonnay du Monde® in Burgundy. This event offers a unique opportunity for the world's best Chardonnays to be judged in a qualitative confrontation.
Our first meeting with Jean Lenoir in the 1980s is undoubtedly one of the reasons for the success of this event. His rigorous approach to the description of our sensory perceptions has been a guide for better appreciating the nature of "true wine".
By improving our knowledge and understanding of wine, we acquire the tools needed to form better judgements of wine quality.
For this tenth anniversary, more than 1,000 samples have been entered from 35 countries, reflecting a wide array of Chardonnay styles in search of recognition. This high level of participation also reflects the contribution of our expert judges at Chardonnay du Monde®. For wine lovers, this event is a guarantee that a professional approach will be used for expressing the sensory quality of wines.
We leave it to Jean Lenoir to guide us amongst the aromas of the world's best Chardonnays.
